Citrus Valley Physical Therapy

About Citrus Valley Physical Therapy

Most people meet physical therapy at its worst: a printed sheet of exercises, a crowded room, and a therapist splitting attention four ways. That is not what happens here. Citrus Valley is one clinic on Orange Tree Lane, owned by a Redlands native, built around an hour of undivided attention and a plan you can explain to someone else when you get home.

01Purpose & Vision

Improvement by Movement is the whole idea.

It is the shortest honest description of what happens in this building. Movement is the treatment, not the reward you are handed once the pain has gone quiet on its own. Our purpose is to inspire others to help themselves, which sets a fairly high bar for a visit: you should leave with more control over your own body than you walked in with, not just a better afternoon.

Citrus Valley is owned by Dr. Brent Wild, DPT, who grew up in Redlands and still treats here. Doctors of physical therapy work on staff, supported by physical therapy technicians, a registered dietitian, and a non-clinical team that handles benefits and scheduling so your therapist can stay in the room with you instead of on the phone with an insurer.

02What We Stand For

Three things we do not trade away.

Purpose

To inspire others to help themselves. A plan that only works while you are lying on our table is not a plan, it is an appointment. So every visit is built to send something home with you: a position that gives you relief, a load you know how to progress, a reason the thing hurts that you can repeat back in your own words.

Vision

Change how the world sees physical therapy. Not the last stop after the injections stop working. Not a formality between a surgery and the rest of your life. Somewhere you go on purpose, ideally before the problem gets big enough to make the decision for you.

How We Work

Respectful, enthusiastic, professional without being stuffy. You will be spoken to like an adult who can handle honest information about their own body, including the parts that are going to take longer than you hoped. And you will hear it from someone who is genuinely glad you came in.

03Our Standard of Care

One therapist. One hour. Your plan.

Your first visit is about an hour, one on one with a doctor of physical therapy: a review of what brought you in, a review of your medical history, and a baseline physical exam. Sessions after that run 30 to 60 minutes, and most plans of care run 2 to 3 visits a week for 4 to 6 weeks. Your measurements are re-tested as you go, so progress is something you can see rather than something you are told. In California you can start physical therapy without a physician referral for up to 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first. Some insurance plans still require one, so call or text us and we will check your specific plan before your first visit.
