Pediatric Physical Therapy Services
Our physical therapy program can benefit children with conditions including:
- Brain trauma and injuries
- Cerebral palsy — a disorder affecting a child’s muscle tone, movement or posture
- Developmental delays
- General orthopedic — injuries to the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles
- Genetic syndromes — Down syndrome (which can cause developmental and intellectual delays) and muscular dystrophy (which can impact muscle mass and strength)

What to Expect
During your first visit, you can expect a thorough one-on-one physical therapy evaluation with one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy. The one-hour initial assessment appointment will include:
- Listening to your needs and concerns
- Reviewing your past and current medical history
- Conducting a physical examination to assess baseline movement, strength, and skill levels
- Discussing and setting personalized therapy goals and expectations
- Creating a custom plan of care tailored to meet your needs and help you achieve your therapy goals
Following your physical therapy evaluation, you will attend treatment sessions at the frequency prescribed in your plan of care. Each visit typically lasts one hour and includes:
- Expert guidance on exercises and activities outlined in your plan of care
- Direct consultation with a licensed clinician to review and update the plan of care as needed
- Manual therapy from a licensed clinician to address pain and mobility deficits
- Modalities to manage pain, inflammation, or discomfort throughout your treatment (as needed)

A Sports Stretch is a 20-minute individualized stretching and mobilization session with the therapist of your choice, followed by a 10-minute modality session (Heat/Ice/E-Stim). We can focus on a specific body area or perform a full body stretching routine.
