Dr. Hannah Goerke

Doctor of Physical Therapy

I was born and raised in South Bend, IN. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Science with a Pre-Physical Therapy emphasis and a nutrition minor from Northern Illinois University in 2022. I have played softball year-round for as long as I can remember and ended up playing Division 1 softball at Northern Illinois. I continued my tenure at NIU, earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2025.

I have worked in four various orthopedic settings all around the country, with two being in Indiana, one in Maryland, and my final clinical in California. I have worked in two sports-specific settings, one post-op specific setting, and one general outpatient orthopedic setting throughout my clinical experiences.

Core Values: The core values that drive my life are deeply rooted in my faith and in my desire to live with purpose and integrity. Integrity means doing what is right, even when no one is watching — it’s the foundation of how I make decisions and how I treat others. Compassion and empathy guide the way I connect with people; I believe in truly understanding and caring for others, especially in their most vulnerable moments. My drive comes from a deep commitment to serve, improve, and grow, both personally and professionally. And above all, my religious values ground me and remind me to lead a life of humility, service, and faith. Together, these principles shape who I am, how I treat others, and what I hope to contribute to my profession.

Quote

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
– Proverbs 3:5-6

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy. After a couple of years into my career, I have thought about specializing in sports rehab.

I think that patients often do not feel like their concerns and/or voices are being heard. I want to fix this communication gap between patient and provider so patients truly feel heard.

I enjoy treating all orthopedic conditions but have a special enjoyment for newly post-operative conditions and sports rehabilitation.

I love the true emphasis on patient-centered care at Citrus Valley. This team works tirelessly to bring the best possible care through bi-weekly team meetings, continuing education/in-services, getting out in the community, and providing patient-first services that promote patient-centered long-term health goals. I especially appreciate the supportive and collaborative team environment at Citrus Valley that allows for clinicians to constantly learn and offer advice from/to each other to make the clinic and one another better. I find it deeply fulfilling to be part of a workplace where the connections and mission go beyond the job description.

When I am not working, I enjoy running, lifting weights, trying new workouts, watching football or other sports games, snowboarding, wakeboarding, wake surfing, going to the beach, traveling, and trying new places to eat or drink coffee. 🙂 I love spending quality time doing these activities with my family and friends, especially my amazing fiancé, Owen, and dog, Enzo!
